My name is Darren Martin. I play Point Guard and I'm from Weiden Germany/ Louisville Kentucky. I am an all around point guard that limits turnovers and always looks to get my teammates going. My major advantage on the court is my calmness and my shooting ability. At any time I feel as if I'm one of the best shooters on the court. I also know how to run a pick and roll offense very efficiently. In high school I played for Ron Bevars at North Hardin high school. He is now the winningest high school basketball coach in Kentucky state History and ive learned a lot from his guidance . I pride myself on hard work and working on my weeknesses every single day. I was recruited in highschool by Lyndon State College in Vermont. I decided to attend a Division one school at The University Of Texas El Paso but was not eligible to play due to ncaa transfer rules. Still I have been active in the sport of basketball playing against Division 1 talent everyday in college. Being born overseas I feel as if I'll be able to adapt easily to an already comfortable environment and won't have any problems with the transition. Any team I play for will gain a very hard working player who is immensely competitive.
